Privacy, Cookies & Terms
This page explains how Statohub handles privacy, cookies, and browser storage, and sets out the terms on which the site may be used. Statohub is a static statistics education and calculator site. We do not provide user accounts, sign-in areas, comments, or user profiles.

Privacy Policy
What we collect and do not collect
Statohub does not ask you to create an account, sign in, or submit personal profile information. Calculator inputs are processed in your browser by client-side code and are not intentionally sent to Statohub as calculator submissions. We do not sell personal data. The site does use analytics, described under Analytics below, and does carry third-party advertising, described under Advertising below.
Hosting and server logs
Statohub is served through Cloudflare Pages. Like most web hosts and content delivery networks, Cloudflare may process standard request data such as IP address, requested URL, user agent, timestamp, and basic security or performance signals in edge logs. These logs are used for operating, securing, and delivering the site.
Analytics
Statohub uses two analytics services to understand aggregate site usage, such as which pages are read and where visitors arrive from. We do not use analytics data to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell personal data.
- Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID
G-PVHDLYC7T4) sets first-party cookies in your browser -- typically named_gaand_ga_*-- to tell repeat visits apart and to measure traffic sources. It may also process your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you view. Google's description of how it handles this data is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. - Ahrefs Web Analytics is a page-view measurement script which, according to Ahrefs, does not use cookies and does not track individuals across sites.
You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site you visit by installing Google's Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking cookies for this site as described under How to view and control cookies.
Advertising
Statohub carries advertising served by Adsterra, and the site is also set up for Google AdSense. Ad revenue is what pays for the site and keeps every article and calculator free to use.
Adsterra ads appear as banners placed around the article and calculator content. Adsterra and the advertisers it works with may use cookies and similar technologies, and may process technical data such as your IP address, device and browser type, and the page you are viewing, to choose which ad to show, cap how often you see it, measure its performance, and detect invalid traffic. Adsterra's own policy is at adsterra.com/privacy-policy.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads on this site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to Statohub and to other sites on the internet. Google and its ad-technology partners may also process technical data such as your IP address, device and browser type, and the page you are viewing, in order to select an ad, measure whether it was seen, cap how often you see the same one, and detect invalid traffic.
Statohub does not send your calculator inputs, or anything else you type into a page, to advertisers. Ad selection happens entirely inside the ad networks' systems: we do not receive, see, or store the personal data those partners process, and we cannot read the cookies they set.
Google's own description of how it uses data from sites that use its services is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Your advertising choices
You can turn off personalised advertising from Google at Google Ads Settings. To opt out of personalised advertising from many other vendors at once, use optout.aboutads.info or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu. You can also block or delete advertising cookies directly in your browser -- see How to view and control cookies below.
Opting out does not remove ads from the site. It means the ads you see are chosen without using an advertising profile built from your browsing.
Consent in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, advertising cookies are set only after you agree to them. Consent is collected through a Google-certified consent management platform, which shows a message the first time you visit and records your choice in your browser so you are not asked again on every page.
The analytics cookies described under Analytics above are not yet wired into that consent message. Until they are, you can prevent them by using the Google Analytics opt-out add-on linked in that section, or by blocking cookies for this site in your browser.
You can change or withdraw that choice at any time using the privacy or consent settings link the message provides, or by clearing this site's data in your browser, which makes the message appear again on your next visit. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already happened while consent was in place.
Third-party links
Some pages link to external educational or reference sites. Those sites are controlled by their own operators and are covered by their own privacy notices. Statohub is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party sites.
Children's privacy
Statohub is an educational website for general audiences. It is not designed to collect personal information from children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page when the site changes, when we add or remove services, or when legal requirements change. The updated date above will reflect the latest revision.
How to contact us
For privacy questions, including anything about advertising cookies or your consent choice, email admin@statohub.com. The contact page explains what else that address is for.
Cookie Policy
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites can store in your browser. They are commonly used for sign-in sessions, preferences, security, analytics, and advertising.
Cookies set by Statohub
Statohub sets no cookies of its own for advertising or profiling. The
first-party cookies you may find on this domain are set by Google
Analytics -- typically _ga and _ga_* --
described under Analytics above. They hold an
anonymous identifier used to count visits, not a profile built from
personal details you have given us.
The site's dark-mode preference is stored with browser localStorage
under the key theme. localStorage is not a cookie, and this
preference stays on your device unless you clear it in your browser. The
remaining cookies you will encounter on Statohub come from Google's
advertising stack and from our host, described next.
Advertising and consent cookies
Google and its ad-technology partners may set cookies, or use similar
browser storage, in order to serve ads, measure whether an ad was seen and
acted on, limit how often you see the same ad, and detect fraud and
invalid traffic. These are third-party cookies set by domains such as
googlesyndication.com, doubleclick.net, and
google.com -- not by Statohub -- so we can neither read them
nor delete them for you. Adsterra and its advertisers may set similar
third-party cookies from their own domains, for the same purposes.
The consent management platform also stores your consent choice in your browser. That record is what keeps the consent message from reappearing on every page, so clearing it will bring the message back.
Where consent is required -- in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland -- advertising cookies are set only after you agree to them. See Consent in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland above for how to change your choice, and Advertising for the opt-out links.
Cookies from hosting and security services
Our CDN or host may set cookies or use similar browser storage when needed for security, performance, abuse prevention, or network delivery. These controls help keep a static site available and protected.
How to view and control cookies
You can view, block, delete, or limit cookies in your browser settings. Most browsers also let you clear localStorage and other site data for a specific domain. Blocking some host or security cookies may affect how a site loads or whether protective checks work correctly. Blocking third-party cookies specifically will stop the advertising cookies described above without affecting the calculators, which run entirely in your browser.
Terms of Use
By using Statohub you agree to these terms. They are short because the site is simple: there is nothing to sign up for, nothing to buy, and nothing you submit is stored.
Educational use only
Statohub teaches statistical methods and provides calculators that run them. The content is general educational material. It is not medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified statistician or adviser who can see your actual data and circumstances. Decisions you make based on what you read or compute here are your own.
Accuracy
We work hard to get the maths right: every guide is reviewed before publication, every calculator is covered by automated tests, and we correct errors when they are reported. Our editorial policy sets out how. Even so, the site is provided "as is" and we cannot promise that every page is free of error or that a calculator is suitable for your particular purpose. Check that a method fits your data before you rely on its result, and please tell us if something is wrong.
Calculators
The calculators run in your browser and are provided for learning and for checking your own working. You are responsible for the numbers you enter and for how you use the output. We may change, add, or remove a calculator at any time.
Content and copyright
The guides, worked examples, calculator code, and design of Statohub are the property of Statohub unless otherwise stated. You are welcome to read, print, and use the material for personal study and teaching, to link to any page, and to quote short passages with attribution and a link back to the source page. Republishing whole guides, scraping the site to build a competing dataset or product, or presenting our content as your own is not permitted without our written permission.
External references cited in the guides, such as the NIST/SEMATECH e-Handbook or OpenStax textbooks, belong to their respective publishers and are used under their own licences.
Third-party sites and advertising
Pages link to external educational and reference sites, and the site carries advertising served by third-party networks such as Adsterra and Google AdSense. We do not control those sites or the advertisers, and a link or an advertisement is not an endorsement. Your dealings with any third party are between you and them.
Acceptable use
Do not use the site in a way that interferes with its operation or with other people's use of it, including automated requests at a rate that degrades the service, attempts to bypass security or advertising controls, or use of the content to train or build products in breach of the copyright terms above.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Statohub and its editorial team are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or its calculators, or from reliance on any content on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms when the site changes. The updated date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
